The assault was filmed by the students in a private coaching class run by the teacher in Karnal.
The teacher can be seen grabbing the students by the hair and slapping them for not completing their homework, or coming late to the class and scoring less in tests.
Police took cognisance of the clip that was shot by a student in secret and was found posted on the local news channel. It went viral and forced the police to lodge an FIR, though there has been no formal complaint by any student’s parent or the students against the teacher. Investigations are on.
