A 24-year-old British Sikh model-cum-campaigner, Harnaam Kaur sporting a six-inch-long facial hair on Thursday entered the Guinness World Records as the youngest female with a beard.
She decided to grow her beard after being the subject of bullying during her teenage years for her facial hair. After conforming to society and removing it for several years she decided to stop and let it grow. Harnaam’s beard measures at 3inches in some places and an impressive 6 inches in others which has earned her a place in the Guinness World Records 2017 book.
As a body confidence and anti-bullying activist, her life is focused on empowering people and spreading a positive message to those around her. In March this year, she became the first female with a beard to walk the runway at London Fashion Week. Harnaam has described being part of the Guinness World Records 2017 book ‘absolutely humbling’ and is excited to celebrate her achievement with the world through her record title.
