It has been 19 years to the day since Princess Diana was tragically killed in Paris. The beloved royal was just 36-years-old when she died, but in her short life she made such a tremendous impact that almost two decades on, the public continues to remember and pay tribute to ‘the people’s princess’.

To commemorate the anniversary of her death on Wednesday, flowers, messages, balloons and photographs were placed outside Kensington Palace by royal fans and well-wishers, who gathered to honour Prince William and Prince Harry’s late mother.

Many people also took to Twitter to post touching tributes. “Remembering the people’s princess 19 years on,” wrote one, while another added: “You may be gone but you are never forgotten. Rest in peace Princess Diana.”
