In a first for the hospitality sector, a plug-n-play hotel concept has been launched in Gujarat. Brainchild of Tanmay Bathwal, the portable hotel is called Beetle Smartotels.
Bathwal believes that portable hotels is a great solution to cater to the soaring demand for hassle-free movable rooms ideal for remote locations, industry clusters and venues holding big-ticket cultural conventions.
“We are calling it a portable hotel, we have used discarded containers in an innovative manner, we have made hotel rooms out of it and the entire hotel becomes portable. We don’t require much construction, we only require base supports to place our containers,” Bathwal said.
According to Bathwal, the rooms would have plush interiors and decor along with top security mechanisms and safe deposit lockers.
Hirise Hospitality Pvt Ltd aims to add 2,000 portable hotel rooms across the country by 2018.
