Bihar has voted decisively in favour of the Mahagatbhandhan of JDU, RJD and Congress party. The Grand Alliance was leading in 148 seats out of 243 at 12:50 pm. BJP was leading in 90 despite the high-voltage campaign by PM Narendra Modi and party chief Amit Shah.
“Thank you for your overwhelming support,” JD(U)’s Nitish Kumar said even as counting of votes were going on. Kumar also thanked PM Modi who wished him over telephone. A number of political heavyweights and chief ministers including Arvind Kejriwal and Mamata Banerjee wished Kumar for the success in Bihar elections.
