Fly me to the moon’ is a song immortalised by Frank Sinatra. Now, a version of the song by a 12-year-old Bengaluru girl will fly her New York for a performance at the legendary Carnegie Hall later this week. Nilanjanaa topped the jazz category of the Golden Voice of America contest – open online to contestants around the world – paving the way for her performance.
Her parents, Sangeetha and Jayant say their daughter has always been musical and they are thrilled her online entry made it to the top. Her music school is excited too.
