Sarbjit is an upcoming Indian biographical drama film directed by Omung Kumar. The film stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Randeep Hooda in lead roles, with Richa Chadda and Darshan Kumar essaying supporting roles in the film. The film will be narrated through the perspective of Sarabjit Singh’s sister Dalbir Kaur played by Aishwarya Rai.
Sarbjit is based on Indian prisoner Sarabjit Singh, who died in a Pakistani hospital, Jinnah Hospital, Lahore, nearly a week after a brutal assault by other inmates.
The trailer of the highly anticipated Sarbjit movie is out. The movie is slated to release on 20th May 2016 and will also be screened at the Cannes Film Festival 2016.
