Indian Railways is planning to launch smart coaches with luxurious interiors that will make train journeys more comfortable for travellers. The plan will most likely be announced in the Railway Budget to be presented in Parliament on February 25.

According to a report in The Times of India, the coaches will have WiFi connections, water vending machines and the coaches will be equipped with CCTV cameras and automatic fire and smoke detection systems. Each coach will have bio-toilets with sensor-based taps and flushing systems, automatic soap dispensers and hand dryers.
