In what would be a New Year gift, Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan launched a round-the-clock emergency helpline number 1906 for leakage in LPG cylinders and related problems, if any.
Inaugurating the helpline on Friday, the minister said the number will be toll free soon and service will be provided on emergency basis. The government plans to increase the number of consumers substantially and has set a target to provide clean fuel to 70 per cent households within three years.
