Shantilal Parmar, a traffic constable in Vadodara, had to pay heavy price for doing his duty. He was beaten up severely by a mob of around 40 people for about an hour. His fault was he tried to stop three bike-borne youth.

As they tried to speed away one of them got hit by a scooter and injured. The youth called their family and friends who rushed to the spot and thrashed the constable for about an hour before setting his motorcycle on fire.

Three other policemen reached the spot and tried to rescue him by getting him into their jeep. But the angry mob pulled him out again and hit him relentlessly. No body was arrested till the report went live.
