A fire broke out on Sunday at the venue of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s religious ceremony. The incident occurred at around 1.30 pm. No one was injured and all present were immediately evacuated.
President Pranab Mukherjee, who was expected to attend the ritual, cancelled his visit following the incident. The five-day yagna, being performed for universal good and peace, had begun on December 23.
