Prime Minister Narendra Modi saved lives of three cameramen while launching the first phase of Saurashtra Narmada Avataran for Irrigation #SAUNI Yojana in #Jamnagar today. The project aims at diverting the floodwater from Sardar Sarovar Dam to several dams of the water scarce Saurasthra region through a network of canal and pipelines. The project intends to fill nearly 115 dams of Saurashtra region that faces shortage of water for irrigation and drinking.
The cameramen were busy in shooting the programme while Modi pressed the button, and water started flowing. Unfortunately the cameramen were on the downstream side, and unaware of the water rushing towards them.
Modi noticed it and immediately asked the officers to remove them and also began clapping and other gestures to alert them who ran towards safety, leaving their cameras. After all life is more precious!
