In an inspiring tale of triumph against all adversities, a welder’s son from Bihar has bagged his dream job at Microsoft with a whopping annual starting salary of over Rs 1 crore. Vatsalya Singh Chauhan, who has landed a Rs. 1.02 crore job with Microsoft in the US, says cracking the five-round selection process “wasn’t very difficult.” The final year student’s father works as a welder in Bihar’s Khagaria.
Vatsalya’s father Chandra Kant Chauhan said, “My son told me that he had a landed a job, and I was very relieved and tears came out of my eyes because finally he had got what he worked for. Initially he told us that his package is for Rs. 90.5 lakhs but later we got to know that it was actually 1.02 crore.”
