Pizza Hut made history and earned a Guinness Book title after they delivered the pizza on top of Mt. Kilimanjaro, whose altitude is more than 19,340 feet.
This feat was achieved as Pizza Hut launched its chain in the 100th country – Tanzania.
The pizza chain started its trek on May 5 with professional hikers. With the help of motor vehicle, an airplane, and a special pizza bag, the restaurant’s delivery was deemed successful. The ascent ended on May 8. It took 4 days for the pizza to be delivered on the top of the highest mountain in Africa.
The General Manager of Pizza Hut, Africa, Mr. Randall Blackford landed the honor of Guinness World Record title after achieving the highest altitude pizza delivery by land.
