In a fresh confrontation with the Central government, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal says time has come to replace bureaucrats with professionals and sector experts, and infuse fresh energy and ideas in governance. His remarks came even as he called the DANICS and Indian Administrative Service officers in Delhi, who went on a mass-leave in protest on Thursday, the full-fledged B-teams of BJP.

Referring to the suspension of the two DANICS officers and the mass-leave decision of DANICS officers following the suspension, Kejriwal said governance will be easy and smooth without these officers.

The DANICS officers have maintained that the appointing and disciplinary authority of DANICS officers is the President of India, who acts through the aid and advice of the Union home ministry. They said the Home Minister of the Delhi government has no authority to take any disciplinary action against DANICS officers as specified under the existing rules.
Two DANICS officers Subhash Chandra and Yashpal Garg were suspended after they allegedly refused to sign Delhi government cabinet notes pertaining to a salary hike for public prosecutors and prison staff.
Meanwhile, the Centre is learnt to have decided to issue a formal order terming null and void the suspension order of the two officers, terming it as ‘non est’ (does not exist) and said the two officers should be considered deemed to be on duty.
